Canadian Permanent Residency with Oxford Immigration

Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) are immigration pathways offered by Canada's provinces and territories to attract immigrants who have the skills, education, and work experience needed to contribute to the local economy. Through PNPs, provinces, and territories can nominate individuals who wish to settle in a specific region, increasing their chances of obtaining Canadian permanent residency.

Application Program for Provincial Nominee Programs

With your provincial nomination, you can apply to the federal government for permanent residency. There are two main pathways

Option A: Express Entry Process

• If your provincial nomination is aligned with the federal Express Entry system:

• Create or Update Your Express Entry Profile: Indicate that you have a provincial nomination.

• Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA): A nomination adds 600 points to your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, greatly increasing your chances of receiving an ITA.

• Submit Your Application: After receiving an ITA, you have 60 days to apply online for permanent residency through the Express Entry portal.

• Processing Time: Express Entry applications are typically processed within six months.

Option B: Non-Express Entry (Paper-Based) Process

• If your provincial nomination is not connected to Express Entry:

• Submit a Paper Application: Mail your permanent residency application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

• Processing Time: Paper-based applications generally take longer, often up to 18 months or more.
